When Eunice & Dean were first married, they lived with her parents at Clemmons. When Dean went into the army in WWII, Eunice went with him for a while. After he got out of service, they moved to Rural Hall. Both their children were born there. They bought a house in Kernersville when Kathy was still a baby. They had not lived there long when Dean was killed in an automobile accident. Eunice lived there until her children were grown. Meanwhile, Squire died, and Dean's mother was killed by a drunk driver as she was walking home from church.
