Henry Ledford was born 1720, went in 1745 into the Valley of the Roanoke River in August County Virginia latter that section was called Montgomery County Virginia.The valley was called West Fork on the Roanoke.They stayed until 1755 when Henry Ledford along with James Patton was killed in an Indian attack.Henry married before 1745, wife’s name unknown. They had seven children bythe time of his death in 1755.
